52. East Sussex School Organisation Plan 2021-2025
52.1 The Lead Member considered a report by the Director of Children’s Services seeking approval to publish the School Organisation Plan for 2021-2025.
52.2 RESOLVED – to approve the
publication of the School Organisation Plan for 2021-25.
Reason
52.3 The local authority has a statutory duty to ensure there are sufficient school places to meet present demand across the county. The School Organisation Plan for the period 2021-25 sets out the projected demand for places in the future and where the local authority thinks it will need to commission additional places or reorganise existing provision to maintain a sustainable network of schools with the right number of places in the right locations to serve local need.
53. Household Support Fund
53.1 The Lead Member considered a report by the Director of Children’s Services seeking approval to use a portion of the Household Support Fund to provide food vouchers over the Christmas, February and Easter school holidays to eligible free school meal pupils between December 2021 and March 2022.
53.2 RESOLVED – the Lead Member approved the use of a portion of the Household Support Fund to provide food vouchers over the Christmas, February and Easter school holidays to eligible free school meal pupils between December 2021 and March 2022.
Reason
53.3 The Household Support Fund provides an opportunity to support East Sussex families and individuals who are experiencing financial challenges, including the provision of food vouchers to eligible children and families.
